Why now
We’re not launching another Zoom hang. We’re opening a door back to IRL — affordable, low-pressure, skillful rooms for women who build with AI — weeknights or weekends, whenever the room opens. The data (Harris Poll Gen Z Weekend Report, 2026) is the urgency:
51%
of Gen Z feel lonely on a typical weekend* — highest of any generation (+37 pts vs Boomers)
49%
don’t have enough friends to hang with in person
65%
experience social life more through their phone than face-to-face
74%
stay in at least half their weekends* — saving money & recharging, not “antisocial”
68%
say going out isn’t worth the damage to their wallet
62%
wish online friendships would turn into real-life plans
Intellectual life
Stimulating conversation dried up a median of about three years after leaving school. Maxwell Social asked 905 adults whether anything replaced that side of adult life. Mostly, no. Same craving as the loneliness numbers — sharper ask: rooms built around ideas, not another night yelling over music.
~3 yrs
median until stimulating conversation dries up after school
1 in 3
adults: no deep conversation with someone new in 1+ year
49%
of millennials feel intellectually lonely
53%
say making intellectually curious friends as an adult is harder than dating
66%
of people who still go to bars would rather spend the night somewhere built around ideas
61%
would consider paying for a membership in a social club centered on ideas
We’re not a panel. We’re not a pitch fest. We’re a room where women builders talk, teach, and ship — the idea night people said they’d show up for.
AI IRL is the answer we want in the room: learn something useful, build something real, leave with people — not another lonely scroll. Motto: better together. Loneliness is why we gather. Idea rooms are why we stay. AI job requirements are why the skill matters.
*Survey asked about weekends; AI IRL meets whenever the room opens — weekdays included.
Loneliness stats: Harris Poll, The Gen Z Weekend Report (May–Jun 2026; n=603 Gen Z) — covered in the NY Post.
Jobs: UBS AI proficiency requirement for 2027 Global Banking & Markets grads/interns (FT, Sep 2026); Santander trainee AI-skill asks in the same coverage cycle.
Intellectual life: Maxwell Social survey (n=905 adults) and rankings of the 50 largest U.S. metros — museums, libraries, bookstores, universities, adult education, graduate degrees, and intellectual search interest, not IQ — covered in Vice, Sep 2026.
One sharp idea. No slide marathon. Respect the attention span.
Open laptops. Ship something small with women who get it.
Proximity is power. Community you can walk around in — not another Discord ghost town.
